PONDS to Dye For…
Pond dyes, or colourants, are widely used as part of a multi-faceted approach to pond management. Dyes darken the water reducing the amount of ultraviolet light that penetrates to depth. Reducing Ultraviolet means the water warms more slowly and there’s less sun energy for aquatic weeds and algae to use for photosynthesis. In short, dye enhances the appearance of your pond while reducing algae and weed’s ability to grow.
Arbourdale pond dyes were developed after years of testing to disperse faster and more thoroughly. We use powered dye for a deeper, more complete colouring, ease of handling and storage. Arbourdale dyes are formulated from a broad spectrum of pigments (instead of just one colour) to filter more light and last longer than any commercially available dye. All our colourants are food quality made by the same people who supply those famous hardshell candy companies and they are 100% safe for your pond, pets, people and fish.
Our Muskoka Black Pond Dye is named for Ontario's lake region with its deep, dark lakes. Muskoka Black creates a beautiful reflective surface popular with golf courses and homeowners alike.
Arbourdale colourants are highly concentrated with no fillers to treat more water volume per gram than any other colourant
